Fair Play Points - Guidelines Fair play points are your assessment of the other team from when you arrive at the pitch until you leave the pitch. This will always be your point of view and you are asked to use these as a guideline in your markings. Please also use common sense. 10 - This is the default. This is what should be given if nothing marks the game as "unfair" 9 - A solitary individual who wasn't playing in the right ethos was noted that stopped you offering a higher score 8 - No particular individual but a quite a few poor tackles, backchat to the referee or swearing at your team by more than one player etc 7 - 8 & 9 together 6 - A bit disappointed that the game was spoiled by incidents and attitude 5 - Very disappointed that the game was spoiled by incidents and attitude 4 to 0 - worse than a 5 and send a note as to why you gave the score. Bonus point (you cannot give a team more than 10 points in total) - For teams that really make you think "Wow their attitude was superb", they went above the call of duty. These can bring a team's score back up after maybe losing a few for poor challenges etc. Examples: - Offering to help with nets when they are the away team, - Making you really feel welcome. - Being honest about refereeing mistakes that would have otherwise gone their way (throw-ins, corner/goal kick etc). If you wish to get the input of the referee on the scores you give please ensure the referee is fully aware of how the marking system works. As mentioned at the November managers meeting it is compulsory to give a fair play score. These guidelines will be in place until the end of the season when the committee will review the marking criteria. If you have already marked teams and not started at the 10-point mark please re-review those games as best you can. The committee reserves the right to review the re-application of any team for the 2008/09 season who has had an Fair Play Points average of below 7.5 during the 2007/08 season. |
