Guidelines for FAIR PLAY
Fair play points are your assessment of the other team from when you arrive at the pitch until you leave the pitch.
This will always be your point of view and you are asked to use these as a guideline in your markings. Please also use common sense.

5 – Excellent, above and beyond what is required
4 – This is the default. This is what should be given if nothing marks the game as "unfair".
3 – Average, No particular individual but a quite a few poor tackles, backchat to the referee or swearing at your team by the opposition*. Disappointing Attitude and behaviour.
2 – Poor, Very disappointed that the game was spoiled by incidents and attitude of the opposition*
1 – Unacceptable. Major incidents that made you upset about the performance of the opposition*. The fair play points are applicable to team officials and spectators on the sidelines as well as the players on the pitch.

The mandatory text field on the manager’s report allows managers to explain the decisions behind giving a certain score.
Examples over actions that may contribute to a ‘5’ Score: 1. Offering to help with nets when they are the away team, 2. Making you really feel welcome. 3. Being honest about refereeing mistakes that would have otherwise gone their way (throw-ins, corner/goal kick etc).
If you wish to get the input of the referee on the scores you give please ensure the referee is fully aware of how the marking system works.
It is compulsory to give a fair play score, including an explanation.
The committee reserves the right to review the re-application of any team for the 2010/11 season who has had an Fair Play Points average of below 3.5 during the 2009/10 season.


Guidelines for scoring REFEREES
A mark of 7 is the standard expected of a Referee ready for upward reclassification.
Your impression of the Referee must be based on this performance only. A whole mark is required based on the overall performance of the Referee using these criteria to arrive at that mark. The mark should also reflect the present classification of the Referee.
Four Areas to consider:
* Application of the Laws
* Management of the Match
* Use of the “Respect” Guidelines
* Miscellaneous – Arrival time at Match, pre-match checks (pitch, nets etc), pre-match chats with Managers,
MARK:-
10 A faultless performance displaying an excellent level of control, player Management and Law application throughout the game. Excellent use of the “Respect” guidelines
9 First class match control and player management with an accurate interpretation and application of Law.
8 A very good performance with a high level of player control and management and Law application. Good use of the “Respect” Guidelines
7 A good performance with an effective level of management, control and Law application. Use of “Respect” Guidelines
6 An average performance with satisfactory Law application, player Management and overall control.
5 An adequate performance where some areas of player Management and control as well as Law application require improvement.
4 An unsatisfactory performance showing deficiencies in player Management and control as well as areas of Law application, which need to be addressed.
3 A poor performance with severe lack of control and player Management and a weak application of Law.
2 A very poor performance with an inadequate display of player control and management and an inaccurate application of Law.
1 A totally unacceptable performance.
